We don’t sell email content
We use email content to receive, display and forward messages. We don’t sell your email content or use it to build advertising profiles.
This policy explains what information we process when you use FwdZen’s temporary email, long-term forwarding and account security features, why we process it and how to request its deletion.
We use email content to receive, display and forward messages. We don’t sell your email content or use it to build advertising profiles.
Temporary inboxes are cleared when they expire. Long-term forwarding keeps records for the past 30 days. Neither should be used as a permanent backup.
Delete emails or aliases in the tool. To make an account-level data request, contact support. We may need to verify your identity first.
When you use a temporary email address, we process the address generated for you, the credentials needed to access its inbox, and each email’s sender, subject, content and receipt time. You don’t need to provide a real email address to use a temporary inbox, but messages you receive may still contain personal information.
When you enable long-term forwarding, we also process your real recipient email address, alias settings, login verification records and delivery results. If you enable an authenticator, we store its configuration to verify future logins. Don’t send verification codes or setup keys by email to support.
To keep the service available, our infrastructure may log IP addresses, request times, browser types, errors and signals used to prevent abuse. We won’t ask you to submit your contacts, identity documents or payment details to receive temporary emails.
Email fields let us receive, display and forward messages, troubleshoot delivery failures and carry out deletion requests you make. Your account email is used for login codes and forwarding. This processing is necessary to provide the service you request; it does not give us ownership of your email content.
Security logs help prevent bulk abuse, identify unusual requests and keep our systems stable. Where applicable law permits, we process information to perform our service agreement, pursue legitimate interests or meet legal obligations. We’ll explain any purpose that requires separate consent before proceeding; simply continuing to browse does not give us unlimited permission.
A temporary inbox’s actual lifespan is determined by the countdown shown on the page and the expiry time returned by the server. Promotional names do not promise extra recovery time. Don’t close an important registration process until an extension is confirmed; expired or deleted addresses and emails may not be recoverable.
| Information type | Purpose and retention limits | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary inbox and emails | Available for receiving mail during the server-set validity period; deletion starts after expiry | Delete emails, change the address or extend its time before expiry |
| Forwarded email records | Records from the past 30 days; not a long-term archiving service | Log in to delete emails individually or download what you need |
| Account and alias settings | Kept while forwarding is enabled for your account | Disable or delete aliases; contact support for account requests |
| Browser-stored credentials | Used to identify the current inbox and login session; stored in your browser | Log out or clear site storage |
| Security and service logs | Retained only as needed for security, troubleshooting and legal requirements | Contact support to ask how your information is being processed |
Deletion may be affected by queues, backup rotation and legal retention requirements. Clicking delete does not immediately remove every copy from our infrastructure. Information subject to retention requirements will have its use restricted and will no longer appear as regular inbox content.
You can use a temporary inbox without registering and stop using a forwarding alias at any time. Logging out clears your account session but does not automatically delete all forwarding settings on our servers. Clearing local storage is not the same as requesting deletion from our servers.
Where applicable law permits, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your information, ask us to restrict its processing or request a copy. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us at support@fwdzen.com with the address you used, the type of request and an email address where we can reach you. Don’t include unrelated sensitive information.
To prevent us from giving records to someone else, we may ask you to confirm your request from your account email. If you can’t prove you had access to an expired anonymous inbox, we may be unable to identify or provide its data. You can also lodge a complaint with your relevant data protection authority.
We use access credentials, encryption in transit, content isolation and optional authenticator verification to reduce unauthorised access, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Temporary email isn’t suitable for banking, healthcare, important identity matters or as your only account recovery method. Knowing an address should not be treated as a security barrier.
This service is not designed for children below the age at which they can legally provide consent in their location. If you believe a child has accidentally provided personal information, contact support so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We’ll date policy updates on this page. We’ll provide appropriate notice of significant changes to our purposes for processing or your key rights. For details about the limits on using the service, also read our Terms of Service.
